                       SAN JUAN BAUTISTA / SAN GABRIEL

        Don Juan de Onate & the Colonists first settled at San Juan Bautista.  After a short time, they

        resettled and moved to San Gabriel, both located at the San Juan Pueblo NM.  In 1607 Don Juan

        de Onate was banished from New Mexico, &  Don Pedra de Peralta became the new Governor.
